Quality Foods in Vancouver Island

Another great local grocery...if it's not on special, scan the product and you may save a few bucks...did you know they have a section dedicated to imported British food and chocolates...

Higher grocery prices. Good selection of ready-made food at the cafeteria, and nice seating areas. A lot of the staff seems miserable though (some are excellent). The supervisor in A Step Above is extremely unpleasant. I feel bad for her staff.

Very busy usually. Not the cheapest place for groceries. Great for quick dinners though.

Long line ups consistently, slow service. Prices are higher than most grocery stores.

Nice cashier's. Love their sodaworks Ginger Ale in bottles. Their hot Chinese food counter is a treat for vegetarians.

This store has almost everything you want. The store is bright, cheerful and clean! The employees are very helpful! They have a great selection of plants and cacti! Other than that, they have vegetables, fruits, milk, ice creams and much more! They sell cooked Chinese food here as well! We didn't have to wait for long while checking out! I

I realize some of us are on edge regarding distancing, etc. but the checkout staff need to be more patient with the customers. If we’re doing something wrong a smile and short explanation will go over better than a roll of the eyes and barking orders. I don’t think we’ll be shopping there till this is all over. See you in a year or so, maybe.

Community grocery store with reasonable pricing, food court and cafe upstairs. Usually quite good selection of products, fresh produce, but have had issue with meats (in the frozen section) being sold past their best before date. Keep an eye on this as you could end up with some stale burgers..

Today I was treated very rudely by one of the staff, this is not the first time this has happened at this store...

Very nice store. We can get anything fresh over their. However i visited the quality food for fresh fruits and veg.

We're not from around here, but came in to get some of their Chinese food from their hot food bar. Wow, when they say dinner for 3, okay 3 what, Elephants? Lots of food, and boy is it good. Quite busy around supper time, but that is to be expected given what I have just said. Worth a trip to try it out.

Small crowded, prices are high. But the Chinese food is good.

Yummy.. note that the kitchen closes at 7pm and limited leftovers until 7:30pm daily.

This place has amazing chinese food! They load the containers to the brim and then some. Staff are always helpful when looking for something and there are great deals on Tuesdays.

Good deli section and foods. Very reasonable prices if you want a quick snack.Nice sitting area upstairs for treats and a coffee. Lots of stuff, none food wise upstairs. Cheap breakfast.

Friendly staff. Line up goes pretty quick

First time being in this store. While the store it’s well put together, prices are a little on the high end, but the reason why I am giving a one star is because of the cashier I had to encounter. Tonight around 8:15 or so I went through a older woman’s till and she was the most unpleasant woman. I honestly am left feeling like I should turn around and return everything that I have purchased tonight. Will not be shopping here again. Hopefully management will see this and they will retrain their staff on what customer service would be. Leave your awful attitude at home!

Love quality foods stores. They did a good job renovating. Only downside is there is no elevator for the upstairs gift store.

Great place to buy groceries, it's well lit, always well stocked and the staff are friendly. The sheer volume of product in such a small space makes it feel a little tight and claustrophobic in certain areas.

Breakfast at Quality Foods is fantastic. Only $5 for a large plate that I struggle to finish every time. Absolutely love having this cheap option in Comox

Surprisingly great prices and small town feel. Excellent meat and cheese selection. The store has been moderately busy but the cashiers are quick and friendly.

The store was not busy at 530, I found everything I needed plus...YEAST.....:). The staff was very courteous and helpful. So yeah it was all good...and better!!

It had everything we needed and it was air conditioned. It was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

I felt it was very cold .didn't feel comfortable & not pleasant environment.

Small grocery store with a good selection of items. They have a nice floral selection, fresh produce, small bakery with a good selection of fresh bread and buns. They also have a lovely cheese selection, deli and always have line-ups at the end of the day for their take out food especially the hot Chinese food and sushi. They have a restaurant area that is popular for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Upstairs they have nicely decorated small shop for kitchen and decor items. Parking is free with accessible parking and entrance. This is an enjoyable grocery store to explore because they often have items not found at the other Comox Valley grocery stores however because of their small footprint they don't have the selection of the others. Every day they have "appy hour" take out specials.

Quality foods although more on the expensive side has good quality products and is worth shopping at. Especially if its close and you consider the price of gas. They have an awesome inexpensive breakfast in there deli section . I wish they offered a reasonable hot lunch and dinner menu for a reasonable price too. What they do offer is good just not a large selection. Their meat and bakery departments are very good. All and all a clean bright, clean store with a friendly helpful staff.

Omg, qualify foods is selling black masks fo$ 12.95, if that’s not a ripoff I don’t know what is. To be fair I’ve never bought a mask! Please fill me in on what you think. These masks should be free with Qpoints. I feel you are talking advantage of a good opportunity to rip your shoppers off!! ???

Nice big store. Clean and well laid out. The deli section was awesome and the Samosas were delicious.

I would do more shopping there if the prices were reasonable. Beautiful stores and very clean.

Over priced on many items. Wait times for checking out is long. There are several tills yet only 2 seem to ever be open. One is the quick Express and one regular till.

I have limited experience with the store. This review is for the Chinese food. It's the best anywhere. Period. It's not cheap but huuuuge amounts. The dinner for four is $64.00 but will last 2 nights.

Regarding their Chinese Food counter...tasty and food literally stuffed into containers. Great value for the portions. Have tried numerous venues in the Valley and Quality has become our go to...recommend.

Quality Foods is usually always pretty good but I honestly prefer the Campbell River location.

Great Island born store. Tries to promote & sell local goods & produce from Island farms. Personally, I love their deli & their fresh pizzas. I prefer the Greek pizza to take home & bake later.

Not the cheapest grocery store but definitely the most complete stop you will make. Lots of upscale brands, specializing in local products where possible. An incredible place for A+ Chinese food and deli favorites. A beautiful spot to have lunch or dinner in their comfortable and homey cafeteria area that features a fireplace for those cool days. Staff are always polite and full of character. A higher end gift shop and coffee bar is hidden upstairs and if you can find the staircase (off the deli) you are in for a real treat perusing treasures you are not likely to find anyplace else in Comox. And the best part.....custom deli sandwiches ONLY $4.99!!
